T E X T I N G WHILE DRIVING

If you are driving along in traffic and you are tempted to TEXT while driving, remember that sometimes the vehicle in front of you can come to a stop and you may run into or under a big truck like the Corvette in the photo above unfortunately did.  The outcome to the driver in the Corvette is obvious.  Use your head, don't lose it.

    My thanks to my good Paramedic friend for this photo. These things can happen when you least expect them, or sometimes in some cultures, shortly after the expression "Hey, watch this!" is uttered. Either way, the result is the same.

      The House and Senate in the Florida Legislature is deciding to make it illegal to text while driving if you are caught doing so it will cost you $30 for the ticket. This is an infraction not a crime. It is also not much money considering the consequences of texting and driving. You could be guilty of vehicular homicide and on top of that you may have to pay $30 fine.
