For what is true in the morning of our lives shall by the evening have become a lie. Lessons can be learned from children, nature, and living on an island. I live on two. Not at the same time.
I had my trash picked up on Wednesday morning. It was prompt, and painless, but then again I have not received the bill yet. The process is not at all like what I am used to on the other island, Siesta Key. We recycle and get trash picked up on the same day just like here but they don't count the bags of trash, there is a flat monthly fee which is it is much less than the private carriers charge here. This is further proof that Nantucket is a real island in contradistinction to Siesta Key where the county's contract carrier can dump our trash on the mainland so easily. The driver on Nantucket was wearing white gloves which was a nice touch.
