Oh, and I would never send him any money for his campaign since he never sent me any for my job search. But I will vote for him. My cop friends do have a "union" mentality, but they are true-blooded Americans who serve out of love for our way of life. If he's good enough for them, he's good enough for me.

Neither a REPUBLICAN nor a DEMOCRAT
The FLORIDA Police Benevolent Association (PBA) of which I am a member, has decided to endorse Charlie Crist for Senator from Florida. For those of you who follow politics, Crist was our Governor for 8 years and did a better than average job, sort of in the Schwarzenegger mold. At first I was kind of disappointed that they did not pick Republican Marco Rubio the "Great Cuban Hope" an alleged conservative. But then I said to myself..."this guy, Crist, is not a DEMOCRAT, the party of entitled free-loaders, race baiters, non-tax-payors, and socialists, nor is he a REPUBLICAN, the party of "spend like a drunken sailor" that put us underwater economically under Bush. He is an INDEPENDENT. I would gladly give him one term as Senator from Florida then I would vote for whomever runs against him that is not a DEMOCRAT. What the Hell, like Lieberman, and Jesse Ventura, at least it will be entertaining watching him try to walk the line in politics between the Left and the Right. Will they set up special seating in the middle of the dividing aisle in the Senate for Joe and Charlie, like they do for the Bride and Groom at a wedding?

The P.B.A. is a union that is involved in, among other things, collective bargaining. Hence, the "Union" mentality. I support their causes and believe that their endorsements come out of much more than a candidate's support of pensions and wages for civil servants. They pick the candidate who will do the most to protect us from crime and terrorism to name a couple of issues that mean a lot to me.
