Roses have a particular significance in the lives of my wife and daughter. Every time they are in the midst of a crisis, they invoke St. Teresa of Lisseau, the "Little Flower." Then, out of the blue (or the red as the case may be) a rose will appear, on the ground next to the car they are about to enter, on a sea wall like this one, or just about anywhere. I am not talking about a rose in the middle of your table in a Restaurant or at a Florist, I am talking about a single rose on the 50 yard line of a football field with no other flowers anywhere in sight. It's that "out of place." And along with the rose, there is more often than not, resolution of the crisis.
In a world of high technology and instant news, it is nice to be reminded of the simple but "couldn't be more perfect" beauty of nature... in the form of a ROSE.
That's very nice, and reminds us that more often than not, we can resolve our own crises.
