The second meaning is for all those folks out there who feel that everyone, especially uncle Sugar, owes them a living by virtue of their physical presence in America. Free food, health care, a roof over their heads, TV, drugs, whatever. To them I say... Serve yourself. If you want something, go out and work for it. We can no longer afford to support your lazy ass in these tough economic times.

SIGNS, SIGNS, EVERYWHERE ARE SIGNS
Paul Simon wrote, many years ago "The signs of the prophets are written on the subway walls, and tenement halls." He implied that there is wisdom in graffiti. I think it goes even deeper than that. This sign, or one like it can be found in almost every gas station in America. I think it means something. One meaning is that Ayn Rand was right...rational self interest is paramount. Forget about all the nonsense that your government, schools, and churches spew out about altruism and "Ask not what your country can do for you, blah blah" and realize that you arrived on this planet alone (unless you were a twin) and you will leave it alone, and in between "IF YOU DON'T take care of YOU, who will, or should?"
