We still go there all the time and either bite the up-charge bullet or make no changes. I did not order a soft drink but if things are as they are most everywhere else on the island, they bring you a small glass of coke and there are no free refills. There are three distinct dining venues there...downstairs with its 7 foot ceiling and vintage dark wood and historical authenticity, upstairs which is all new, and outside. When you go, be sure to look at the huge sailboat race photos upstairs.

ONCE YOU GO...YOU KNOW
From the mouths of babes..."Why did they name this restaurant Brotherhood of Thieves, Mommy?" I do not know the real answer but I can guess. First of all, on the PLUS side, this place has good ambiance, good service and GREAT food. The prices are more or less average for Nantucket. For example, a plain hamburger is $14. It is a big one, hand packed, well cooked with all the fixin's and french fries, lots of french fries. Delicious. What ever you do, stay the course and do not add or substitute anything. Cheese, sweet potato fries instead, or veggies instead of fries if you are health conscious, could add up to $3 per item. It's like when you are building a house and you have a change-order and decide you want your closet to be 2 feet wider and the wall is not even up yet. All of a sudden it's like you decided you wanted a Ferrari instead of a Toyota.
