BEFORE YOU FORWARD THAT AMAZING EMAIL

BEFORE you forward that amazing e-mail about the Giant Dog, Brutus, that ate a terrorist and got the Congressional Medal of Honor, or the Elvis sighting in Branson, Missouri, there is a very convenient website you can go to...it's called SNOPES.com. Just go to the website or alternatively type something in your browser like "Brutus army snopes" and you will get a reliable analysis of the email you are about to send out to everyone. It will tell you that it's 100% true, or partially true or false. They will tell you the history behind it such as , this story has been around since the civil war or Jay Leno never said this. Bill Cosby doesn't comment on the things your email is quoting him as saying, etc.

The internet is filled with bullshit. I should know, I wrote some of it. Things get started anonymously and pretty soon, we have found Obama's birth certificate, Pamela Anderson is really a transvestite, and Neil Armstrong admitted that the whole thing was staged in a warehouse in New Jersey. The same is true with medical information. Check the website that is providing the information. If it says WebMD or MAYO Clinic, it is probably true at least this year until we discover that sitting out on a porch does not cure TB like we used to think. If it says ChiroMED Natural healing holistic secrets revealed that the medical profession doesn't want you to know, you may want to look elsewhere.

So thank you all out there for sharing those wonderful stories that you just FORWARD to everyone on your list, thereby putting your reputation on the line..." It came from Larry, it must be true." go to snopes, somehow, and find out..." BS or not BS?" That is the question.
