WISDOM ?

Yes, the season is upon us, no I am not talking about Summer although Hot Air will be involved. I am referring to The Political Season. Now that The Goddess of White Trash, Casey A, will ride off into the sunset and hopefully enter witness protection or the equivalent thereof, Cable News will have space to fill and you guessed it, it will be filled with Politics.

Our president will no longer be a complete unknown whose past still remains obscure, he will have a past that is at least a few years long and his decisions or lack of decisiveness are "On the Record." We are still in Guantanamo, Iraq, Afghanistan, and have added Libya although that's been less newsworthy than JoLo's divorce or the baby-killer trial. Unemployment remains above 9% and there are folks out there who will collect unemployment compensation for 99 weeks. The economic stimulus from our previous president and this one has not saved us from financial collapse. And we are 14 TRILLION dollars in debt. I always considered the word Trillion an astronomical term used only by physicists but apparently it can be used when describing space cadet politicians as well.

Anyway, as this bumper sticker that I saw on a car up here in MASSACHUSETTS attests, there are some folks who still support Obama despite his inability to find his ass in the dark with both hands, leadership wise. Possible explanations for this include: 50% of Americans pay no income taxes and actually get a check back from the IRS. The IQ of 50% of people is by definition, below average. Liberals are 100% lock-step behind their guy while the rest of America does not share that common religious dogma and supports dozens of other contestants in this upcoming America's Got Talent, the politics edition. Fasten your seat belts, the Tsunami of BS is on its way.

  1. Not sure how I feel about the logo; the horizon paved with stripes and the sun are reminiscent of the Japanese flag, which has its own critics. Perhaps a thematic connection?

From the Wikipedia entry for the Flag of Japan:

"...the flag is a symbol of aggression and imperialism...used as a tool...for purposes of intimidation, asserting...dominance, or subjugation."
